Sergeant Stubby's Homely Pit Art Show

Sergeant Stubby is the most curious hero.  Although he did nothing really but be a mascot during a horrible, bloody war, nothing to belittle indeed and enough of a noteworthy service, he is the darling of those who need to revise history to suit their cause.  He is the mascot to all of those who scream "THAT IS NOT A PIT BULL" in the latest media report of some horrible, bloody little battle involving a pit bull.  It seems not even pit bull enthusiasts can correctly identify a pit bull.

However, today I checked Wikipedia, and  today, Sergeant Stubby is identified as a Boston Terrier.  Not a month ago, I could have checked, and he would have been a pit bull. Stubby is a historical magician and shapeshifter.  Look up Gladiolus, Comidia dell' Arte, or Tea, and you will be given the most salient information presented concisely, with M.L.A. style links provided in the most scholarly fashion.   Wikipedia is usually such a good source for most information, as long as it's not controversial and surrounded in any conjecture.  However, on the subject of  Ronald Regan or J.F.K., or anything to do with pit bulls,  or Sergeant Stubby linked through a revisionist lobby's desire for a hero, it's enough to give the mostly good free and publicly created source of information a bad name...like pit bulls.

Today, however Sergeant Stubby is identified as a Boston Terrier.

"Stubby was a stray Boston Terrier (formerly known as a Boston Bull Terrier) dog that appeared at Yale Field in New Haven, Connecticut while a group of soldiers were training."

I'm not taking a screen shot.
You will just have to take my word for it.

So, in honor of Sergeant Stubby, real war hero and mascot, rotting away at the Smithsonian in your little glass case with all the secrets we will never know, including your dubious lineage.................an
ART? SHOW  in you your honor,  that we could call art for all its effort and good intentions, and above all, inspiration.

Help, I've fallen and I can't get up.

Gauguin was considered to be one of the Fauve,
or "Wild Beasts".  This tribute shows the moment before
the wild beast turns the kitty into something that looks it went through a Marcel Duchamp cubist machine.

A toast to Sergeant Stubby with some fine
Two buck Boon's Farm from Walmart!

Cheers!

This pit bull's name is Hannibal.

Here, he eats Poodle liver with fava beans and a nice Chiante.

Pit bulls make their own art too.
This one smells a lot like poo.
This is "Fine Art" folks.

Some great heritage it is too, racism and dog fighting......

Remember carving soap as a past time diversion?  Pit bulls enjoy carving too.

A Minimalist piece that may inspire some performance art.

  3. I REALLY hope that your entire blog is one giant satire piece. You should be advocating the prosecution of those who abuse these dogs and train them to be this way. I have met PLENTY of chihuahuas who SHOULD be put down because they are vicious, but OH NO! Don't do that to a POOR HELPLESS CHIHUAHUA.
Guess what? It's in EVERY dogs nature to be aggressive. Every domestic dog is distantly related to some kind of WILD dog. IF you truly believe that ALL pit bulls are evil, please explain EXACTLY why. Were you bit? Was someone close to you hurt or possibly killed by one? If so, I'm sorry. That is very sad and unfortunate. But that does not mean that EVERY child (or adult for that matter) is in danger when they are around pit bulls.

There. I did your research for you. You do the reading now and educate yourself.

THE PROBABILITY OF BEING ATTACKED BY A PIT BULL IS ACTUALLY LOWER THAN THE REST OF THE BREEDS. Do your research before you disseminate false information. In fact, chihuahuas and other small breeds are the WORST behaved dogs.

Look, I even got you a pretty info graphic so that you don't have to do any other reading either. I'll go ahead and post this stuff on all of your posts so that your readers can also be WELL informed.

She's not presented anything we haven't heard already a million times by now.

  5. Starringstella, the chances of me or my pets being mauled/maimed/killed by a pit bull are higher then any other breed.

You can take that to the bank and smoke it , along with what you have already apparently been ingesting/imbibing.

I searched long and hard today to find break sticks for Chihuahuas or any other breed/type of dog to no avail.
Yet its suggested as a "must have" for those that have pit bulls. That alone says it all.

  6. Yeah, those Chihuahuas are pure evil! Here's one joyfully murdering a human being! Look at that wagging tail!

Pretty sure it's a Chihuahua, the innocent pit bulls are just watching from the door, too frightened to save their beloved owner from the Chihuahua ripping her to shreds. What loyalty those pit bulls have!

  7. Funny how nutters will rush to defend pit bulls and mindlessly shove every other breed under the bus while doing so, yet any one who mentions the aggressive nature of pit bulls are ignorant, uninformed doggy racists.

  8. @Starringstella: did it ever occur to you that people are TRAINING Chihuahuas to be aggressive and to attack with no provocation? I know, shocking that anyone would use a Chi for dogfighting, but they're not ALL bad!!!! I've met some that would just shake and tremble and not even THINK about biting your ankles!!
