Pass the Popcorn!

Every year, just when it's blazing hot outside and most of us would yearn to take a trip to the beach to cool off, the Discovery Channel plays a week of documentaries and specials about sharks.  It's become a beloved annual event worthy of popcorn, learning about these fascinating creatures that inspire fear or at least respect.

Mark your calendars, Discovery Channel's Shark Week starts next week!

Perhaps inspired, or perhaps feeding an insatiable appetite of people who need to be reassured and feel good about owning and advocating for pit bulls, Huffington Post has launched its own Landshark Week!  There's bound to be copious amounts of back patting.

More people have been killed this year by land sharks
than by real sharks.

It may be safer to go to the beach.  Watch out for the loose pit bulls.

Is that what it is?  Hearts seeking veins. May yours stay intact!

And NOW....A Word from our Sponsers!

Pit Bulls have been very busy in our still somewhat  new year of 2014.  Just a few years ago, their rate of fatal killings was roughly two a month, but this year, there has been a pit bull related fatality every five days!

Of course, there are industries who benefit from pit bull mayhem, with increased sales of their products and services.

Today, the PIT NUTTER CIRCUS is brought to you by the manufacturers of BARRICADE TAPE and other crime scene products. Those shining bright yellow ribbons of save us from witnessing bloodied sidewalks, body bags, and maybe viewing a dead pit bull or two stilled by a bullet or two or three or five.  It saves us from nightmares and a plead to our doctor for a prescription of Xanex.

When accompanied by a swarm buzzing with looky-loo curiosity, the flashing red and blue sirens of police cars, fire trucks and the ambulance, and the determined hustle and bustle of the emergency team, the neighborhood becomes like one of those environmental art installations by Christo and Jean-Claude.  Unfortunately, for some people, it's a far cry from a "temporary art installation".  Dare it be suggested, it turns the quiet neighborhood, into a PIT NUTTER CIRCUS.

Did you know, that it costs $14.50 a roll for that bright yellow DO NOT CROSS tape?  Of course, larger cities with a real pit bull blight should purchase it by the case load, it's only $80.00.   Detroit should have a few cases donated from Animal Farm. The states of Texas, Arizona and California could use your help.  Perhaps someone can write a letter, or start one of those Causes pages,  times are hard and those pit bulls are very, very busy.

Everything is Beautiful at the Ballet

It distracts from the large jaws, the reptilian and vacant stare,
makes one forget the news last night.

If you get enough tulle, you can completely hide the ugly head.

Here is a Shelter that figured out if you put tutus and cute hats on the pit bulls,  and it makes them "cute" enough, people will adopt them.
Being of the curious sort, I looked into the history of the TUTU and then found it couldn't be a more appropriate thing, besides a muzzle, for a pit bull to wear.

The word 'tutu' has its origins in the theater audience. Those who bought cheaper tickets sat in a section located in the lower part of the theater. This area gave the patrons sitting there a different view than the rest of the audience; they could often see under the ballerinas' skirts and see their bottoms. This led to a lot of talk and eventually, the French slang word for this part of the ballerina,
cucu
became 'tutu.

I see your cucu.

Here at the Nutter Circus, we feature
Nanny Cobra as
The Sugar Plum Fairy , who does an enchanting dance for her adoring Clara.

Nanny Gator makes a stunning Firebird!

Many people do not realize that besides being serial killers, Bundy and Manson were rivals on stage as the White and Black Swans.

The real reason for this dog fight?
They are both Prima donnas!

This pit bull is no Sleeping Beauty
She had to be drug from the stage, literally!

These two darling pibbles star with El Torro
 in a new production of
Le Sacre Du Printemps.

Coming to a city near you, a hometown production of Medea.

Tutu bad tutus don't seem to make it all better.
